SOAP2

Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Who this agreement is with

SOAP2 ("SOAP2", "we", "us") is developed and distributed by its author, Bruno Voisin ([email protected]). These Terms of Service govern your use of the SOAP2 desktop application and the soap2.dev website.

Payments for paid editions of SOAP2 are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, payment collection, sales tax/VAT, and refunds on our behalf under Paddle's Buyer Terms. These SOAP2 Terms of Service govern the software itself; Paddle's own terms govern the payment transaction.

2. The software

SOAP2 ("Simple Options Analysis Platform") is a Windows desktop application that connects to your own Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS) or IB Gateway installation to display options chain analysis, risk graphs, volatility surfaces, and related trading-workflow tools. SOAP2 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Interactive Brokers LLC. Interactive Brokers and TWS are trademarks of Interactive Brokers LLC.

SOAP2 does not place trades, hold funds, or have access to your brokerage account credentials — it connects only to a TWS/IB Gateway instance you control locally. SOAP2 does not provide backtesting or strategy optimization. Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for all investors. Nothing in SOAP2 or on this website constitutes investment, financial, or trading advice.

3. Editions and subscriptions

SOAP2 is offered in several editions (Freeware, Regular, Premium, WhiteLabel) described on the Editions & pricing page. Regular and Premium are paid, auto-renewing subscriptions billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout. Freeware is free and has no expiry. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

A subscription license activates on a limited number of machines ("seats") at a time, as described at checkout and in the Licensing & Editions guide. You may deactivate a machine yourself to free a seat for another device.

4. Acceptable use

5. Disclaimer of warranties

SOAP2 is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that computed values (Greeks, implied volatility, P&L, risk graphs, or any other analytics) are accurate or fit for any particular trading decision. You are solely responsible for verifying any figures before acting on them.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SOAP2 author is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including trading losses, arising from your use of SOAP2. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your SOAP2 subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate a license for violation of these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time; see the Refund Policy for what happens to access after cancellation.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SOAP2 after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
