SOAP2

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Who we are

SOAP2 is developed and operated by its author, Bruno Voisin ([email protected]). This policy explains what data we collect through the SOAP2 desktop application and the soap2.dev website, and how it's used.

2. What SOAP2 does not do

SOAP2 connects directly from your computer to your own Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS) or IB Gateway instance. Your brokerage credentials, account data, positions, and trade history are never sent to SOAP2's own servers — that connection stays entirely between your computer and your own local TWS/IB Gateway process.

3. What we do collect

DataWhenWhy
Email address, name (optional), edition choice, app version, a per-install identifier ("machine token") When you register SOAP2 after the trial period, or purchase a license To issue and activate your license, email you a confirmation, and contact you about your registration if needed
Email, edition, seat count, payment reference When you buy a Regular or Premium subscription To generate and email your license key, and manage your subscription seats
Feedback message text, app version Only if you use Help → SOAP → Send Feedback in the app To receive and act on your feedback
Payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) At checkout Collected and processed directly by Paddle.com Market Limited, our payment processor and Merchant of Record — we never see or store your payment details ourselves. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.

4. Where data is stored

Registration, license, and activation records are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database operated for SOAP2. Emails (confirmations, license keys) are sent via Cloudflare Email. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and website analytics

The soap2.dev website itself does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The checkout page (checkout.html) loads Paddle's own checkout widget, which may set cookies necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention under Paddle's own privacy policy (linked above).

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your registration/license record does not retroactively revoke a license already activated on your machine, but will stop future communications.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
